What we monitor
FBDS monitors observable online retail information: listed prices, discounts, list and MSRP references, availability, retailer type and historical price movement. That is it.
What a buy signal is
A Buy Signal is a description of unusual pricing and merchandising behavior. It is calculated from measurable factors:
- →Deep markdown against the retailer's own list price
- →Unusually low price versus MSRP
- →Price far below the median across the retailers we track
- →Sustained 30-day decline
- →Sustained 90-day decline
- →Appearance on a closeout or liquidation retailer
- →Multiple retailers discounting at the same time
- →Unusually large divergence between retailers
Within the normal range for this product.
Pricing is becoming unusual.

What a buy signal is not
A Buy Signal is not a claim about falling demand, boycott impact, brand distress or financial distress. We do not know why a retailer discounts a product, and we do not guess. We show the numbers and let you decide.
Provenance
Provenance badges are not interchangeable. "Israeli company", "Made in Israel", "Israeli-founded" and "Israeli economic connection" describe different things. "Named in BDS source" means only that a brand appears in a boycott-related list — it does not establish Israeli ownership or manufacturing. Every badge carries an explanation and, where available, source citations and a confidence level.
